Our Story
We started Club Kind to help kids practice kindness the same way they practice piano or soccer or singing “Hakuna Matata.” All so our kindness muscles grow big and strong and our open, curious hearts stay huge.
Play Curious. Stay Curious.

“Remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else.
If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.
This is not just a grab-bag candy game.”
Kids grow their imaginations by creating and playing, so let’s give them a space to create and play with their imaginations targeted at kindness.
Who
Club Kind was invented by Billy and his buddies. The grown ups involved include his mama (a writer), his auntie (a kids’ play therapist and counselor), his favorite art teacher, his very kind principal… and now, hopefully, you?
What
At Club Kind, we make cool stuff and do creative art, writing, and other exercises to make us kinder. We follow our hearts and our imaginations. You wanna dance? Let’s boogie, baby. You just wanna color quietly today? That’s cool, too. As long as your heart stays open.
Where
We’re grateful to St. Barnabas on Chicago’s Southside for bravely serving as our pilot school. If you’re interested in bringing the Club to your school, we’d love to hear from you.
Why
Yesterday, Billy chased a piece of paper on the wind and shouted, “I’m helping the world!” before he saved it from a litter’s fate. That’s what we want to do here: help keep kids kind.
